College & Career

"Simplicity is the first cousin of contentment.  It concentrates us on what we need, and measures this by what we use.  It rejoices in the good things of creation, but hates waste and greed and clutter.  It knows how easily the seed of Word is smothered by the cares and riches of this life.  It wants to be free of distractions, in order to love and serve God and others."- John Stott

Simplicity wants to be free of distractions, in order to love and serve God and others.

Last night we kicked off our newest college experience here at Skyline!  By creating a space void of distractions, we are beginning a journey that will teach us how to cultivate a time and place to spend time with God.  Our world is filled with a multitude of things that keep us distracted from seeing the movement of God and hearing His voice in our life.  So, on Wednesday nights at 7 here at Skyline we are making our normal classroom that time and place- a place where anyone can come to simply remove themselves from the distractions of life and develop a more intimate relationship with God.

If you are like us, and need a space set aside that is free of distractions to focus on God, then come join us.  We would be excited for you to come along on this journey with us.

The mission of the Skyline College and Career Ministry is to provide a place where college students and young professionals learn to embrace life as ministry to display Christ’s love throughout the Jackson community through the use of their Spirit-given talents.

To this end, the College and Career Ministry seeks to involve members in already existing ministries at Skyline, help them build confidence in using their talents and connect them with other individuals from the community.

Through local campus outreach, study of Scripture, fun activities and community outreach, the College and Career Ministry aims to glorify God in this world. If you would like to be connected with this group, please click here.
