Sunday Classes
Adult Bible Classes:
January 8-February 26
Looking Over The Shoulder: Appreciating The Psalms
Teacher: Mark Harville Room 112
Looking at the Psalms from the perspective of real life. The Psalms are letters and poems written by people of faith to God their father and friend. They are deeply honest. Sometimes they are filled with exuberant praise. Sometimes they express deep disappointment. Sometimes they make us cringe with frustration and even rage! The Psalms have expressed peoples deepest emotions for centuries. Let us look over the authors shoulders and explore together!
Crazy Love
Teacher: Scott Gatlin Room 114
We will be using Francis Chan's book, "Crazy Love". This class will take a deeper look at what our response to God's love should be. Copies of the book can be ordered from Amazon.com or purchased locally at Lifeway on the campus of Union University.
Parenting
Teacher: Mark Hawk Room CAC
Mark Hawk will be hosting a special class for parents of school-aged children. We'll spend six of the eight weeks exploring the video curriculum, "Running the Rapids" by Dr. Kevin Leman. The final week of the class will include our teens and will focus on internet issues and safety.
College Bible Class:
January 8-January 22
Teacher: Tom Adams Room: #212
When we come to Scripture, we should want it to change us, and not for us just to gain more knowledge. So over the Christmas break, we will explore one Old Testament text, one Psalm, one Gospel text, and one New Testament text each week in an effort to hear how God wants us to change through Scripture.
