Church Outside The Walls

Worship can be done in a building, but it can also be done in a community, building relationships with and serving those we are called to love.  Church Outside the Walls gives us an opportunity to do just that.  For us to worship 'outside our walls' on this Sunday morning will communicate to people in this communtiy that we care enough about them and their lives to rearrange our most important day,  just to be with them for a little while.  It reflects a Jesus who believed that true worship to God involved seeking to include others outside the flock.  This Sunday will be an act of worship as we serve others, build relationships, and come back to praise a God who has blessed us with the gift of serving others.  Church Outside the Walls is held in September of each year and is looked forward by everyone who has ever attended and been a part of this great day in our church.

Who is involved?

•  Everyone!  From project organizers down to our children, we are including everyone!

What is the goal?

•  Ultimately to bring glory to God.  On this day we hope to build relationships with people who may not normally be in church on Sunday mornings (one of the reasons why we are doing this on a Sunday morning), invite them back to our fellowship meal and afternoon worship time, and show them the love this communtiy of believers has for them.

 What do I need to do?

• Pray, pray, pray!  Be praying that God will bring glory to Himself through this day and that He will place us in the lives of people who need to see Him that day .  
• Sign up!  Everyone is encouraged to sign up to help with the projects available.  Even though a person is not in a small group, that does not mean there is nothing for them to do. .
• Come ready to go that Sunday.  We meet at 9 a.m. that Sunday morning for prayer and commissioning.  Then we will go straight from there to our service projects.  We will return at 12:30 p.m. for a prepared lunch in the Worship Center , followed by a time of worship and rejoicing. 

Those who were involved in Church Outside the Walls each year receive such a blessing, that we encourge everyone to come and be a part of this great day as we serve our God.
